Hands-on / First month

Yesterday Steeve and Johannes left Alltamura and their project. They have worked as volunteer and they have had a great opportunity to better know the Italian culture. Link is already missing you guys! (In the picture Steeve with the kids at Puglia Sport football club). Now we are waiting for the next volunteers!

just one month

One month is quite a short time. Well, it's over for me now, I am back in Vienna again (I don't dare to say "at home" since my home was Via Vittoria Veneto for some time now and I got used to it). 
I am just looking through the 1300(?) photos I made. I hope I can select some of the best in the next few days and put them online.

Meanwhile I wish could luck to Omer with his Visa and also to the Polish girl oder guy (I don't know) - I hope you will have a great time in Altamura as well!

new slideshow photos

In the right bar of this weblog you can see a slideshow. We just changed it to include pictures of our actual activities in the Hands-On project. These include working with people with disabilities at ANFASS but also helping with a history project about Altamura in a primary school.

This is a nice group, isn't it? From the left: Mino, Lucia, Steeve, Sante... what a pity the photographer is missing, but you can see Johannes in some other post. I enjoyed very much this trip to Matera, even if was the nth time for me :) --- Also was very nice to meet again Andrej!

je m'appel steeve aernouts je viens de france de la ville d'hem 59(nord)je suis venu en italien (altamura)pour une formation action jeunesse juventus d'un mois envoyer par l'adice de france par berenice.Je travaille comme entraineur de football avec un groupe de jeunes de 5 ans a 11 ans tous les lundis et mercredis de 18h00 a 19h30 a la salle polyvalante (lyceo scientifico)) avec belkacem et un professeur d'education physique qui se nome nicola denora.
nous travaillons essenciellement sur la mobiliter, sur la pratique sportive,sur le physique,sur la technique,et l'education des jeunes.

Matera

Thanks to the great people from Link we made a trip to the city of Matera today, around 15km away from Altamura.
It really liked it, specially of course the old part of the city (Sossi? Sassi? Sussi? I cannot remember their name) and the canyon. Quite impressive! I am just browsing through the many photos I made and will upload one or another later.

mezzomese

It's been nearly two weeks since I arrived. That makes it mezzo mese for me. So what did I do in these past two weeks?
I arrived well. That volunteer's flat is nice and very near the Link office, unfortunately I bit cool (the heating does not work at the moment). I got to know my flatmates (Steeve, also working in the Hands On project, see his own post and two other girls who are staying for a 6 month long term EVS). Moreover I got two know the two institutions where I am working: ANFASS, an institution for mentally disabled people and a primary school where we make some workshops about the history of Altamura (the city where we're staying).

And here another picture of myself. Because I don't have pictures of Altamura or something else interesting with me at the moment. It's not a specially good one either but nevermind.
